Programs

One annual cycle, four connected programs

Each cycle focuses on a single defined theme and moves from research, to leadership development, to community dialogue, to a public forum — publishing methods and follow-through at every step.

2027 Theme

Human Dignity, Equality and Justice in the Age of AI

The inaugural program cycle examines how AI-related changes in work, education and civic institutions can expand human capability without deepening exclusion. Each annual cycle focuses on a single defined theme and publishes its methods, conflicts, limitations, voluntary recommendations and follow-through.

01

Shared Destiny Research & Learning Lab

Independent research and public education translating rigorous scholarship and lived experience into accessible, nonpartisan learning.

Each cycle selects one annual theme through a documented needs and evidence process, then publishes issue briefs and hosts open learning sessions. Every publication names its authors, funders, methodology, limitations and reviewers, and distinguishes fact from interpretation and advocacy. No funder or sponsor may suppress findings, choose reviewers or change conclusions.

What this program publishes

  • Peer-reviewed public issue briefs
  • Open public learning sessions
  • A public methods & corrections log
02

Civic Architects Fellowship

A safeguarded adult learning cohort that develops civic leaders equipped to design public-benefit projects.

Fellows are selected through published, charitable criteria and an independent scoring panel. The curriculum spans human dignity, ecology, democratic institutions, evidence, facilitation and coalition building. Each fellow completes a capstone project of public research, education, dialogue or community benefit. The fellowship is education only — not a promise of employment, funding or political office.

What this program publishes

  • A trained fellowship cohort each cycle
  • Public-benefit capstone projects
  • Need-based fee waivers and scholarships
03

Local-to-Global Dialogues

Facilitated listening and learning sessions that connect community knowledge to the research and forum agenda.

Each dialogue names its community, purpose, facilitator, access plan and how findings will shape the annual agenda. Public reports state who participated, what could and could not be concluded, and how dissent and privacy were handled.

What this program publishes

  • Facilitated community and expert dialogues
  • Public dialogue reports
  • Direct input into the annual forum agenda
04

World Human Assembly & Global Civic Forum

A controlled hybrid gathering that turns a year of research and dialogue into a voluntary, published statement.

The forum publishes participant criteria, a pre-read setting out evidence and open questions, and a balanced program. Any resulting declaration is voluntary, routed through factual, legal and ethics review, and requires Board ratification before release. Proceedings are published within 30 days and a commitment update follows within 90 days.

What this program publishes

  • Published forum proceedings
  • A voluntary public declaration
  • A 90-day commitment follow-through report
